10 useful tips to take care of your infants!
The primary works of an infant baby will be sleeping and feeding. Being idle rarely happens in a day. During the first 6 months, the neonate needs extraordinary care from you. If you are nervous about handling such things and perplexed on how to take care of your baby, here are some general tips that my ease things up for you!

Seek the help of experienced:
The first and foremost thing you should do is, consult the elders. Ask mothers who are elder to you and they will give some useful tips on baby handling. They have crossed those tough times long back and their experience might come in handy for you.
Being Prepared:
A mother should be always on her toes! In the beginning, before identifying the sleep pattern of your baby, it might be difficult to cope up if you don’t have a nanny or one more person to take care of your baby. If you are going to breastfeed your baby, always remember it will take a while. With your baby just understanding how to feed, it happens. Make sure no one will disturb or distract you while feeding.
Take naps with your baby:
The most common advice everyone will give for an infant’s mother is “Sleep while your baby sleeps!” It is probably the only resting time available for you throughout the day, so make the most of it. This will also keep you fresh to take care of your baby when it is awake.
Breastfeed your baby for atleast 6 months:
It is best to give your baby nothing but breast milk for the first six months. Breastfeeding your baby with or without adding any other food or drink will ensure good health throughout your baby's lifetime.
Ask Dad to take time off from work:
Always remember to take some extended rests for a few hours in order to keep yourself active for the rest of the day. Tell your husband to come home early for a month to take care of the baby. If he can take care of the baby for at least 4-5 hours a day, it will help you big time.
Play Tunes, read books, magazines:
Play a mild tune in your stereo and it will sharpen the cognitive listening skills of your baby. Moreover, it will also keep you relaxed. Remember you can’t go out easily, so to keep your house as an interesting place, have some novels and magazines as a backup!
Seek help to do household works:
Forget about your household works for the first 2 months. If possible, appoint a maid to take care of those works. Concentrate on the needs of your baby!
Keep the diaper bag ready:
Always have safety diapers in stock at home. Babies can only cry to express that they made their bed wet. Having some diaper bags in your store room will never do any harm.
Embrace the changes:
You may not be able to live a regular life for the next few years, but be ready to embrace that change. On Fridays, there will be no movie outings, Saturdays will not have dinner parties, but remember you have the world’s happiest job, taking care your little baby 24x7!
First day out? Take a veteran mother with you:
Make your first outing with your child with a veteran mom assisting you. Seek the help of any experienced mother, maybe your aunt or elder sister or your own mother/mother-in-law.
