Lay them on their tummy
Put your newborn on their tummy, over your stomach or lap. The change in position may help calm colic pain in infants. You should rub your little one’s back, as it will be soothing and will help gas pass through.
Babies with colic often react well to being carried. Carrying your toddler for long periods in the day might help reduce colic in the evening. Try using a baby carrier as it allows you to keep your baby close while keeping your arms free.
Holding them upright during & after feeding
Having acid reflux that causes symptoms, may be a contributing factor for colic pain in infants. Babies with acid reflux experience heartburn because the breast milk or formula is coming back up through their throat. Holding your baby upright after feedings can reduce the symptoms.
